The Star Trek franchise may have been rebooted, opening with 2009's J.J. Abrams-directed movie, but that doesn't have in mind the Archetype Series was completely left behind. Leonard Nimoy's Spock appeared in both Superstar Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness equally 'Spock Prime'. It's a go by that original Captain Kirk actor William Shatner has at present criticized in a new audience.

"Leonard Nimoy was in some of those films, only it was whole gratis," Shatner told the Daily Carry. "They just wanted to put Spock in there and I didn't admire that."

Shatner, though, would exist open to his personal return in the franchise along the big screen. "If they could come risen with a way of putting a reference I played in a moving-picture show where it functioned as a point in the picture [and] made the movie move along, I'd be entranced," he said.

For now, Star Trek's movie future is looking fair convoluted, even off without Shatner. A new Star Trek movie, lined in the lead for June 9, 2023, is in the whole caboodle with J.J. Abrams equally manufacturer. It's not hitherto known whether it'll be a continuation of the 'Kelvin Timeline' of bring up movies with Chris Pine's Captain Kirk and Zachary Quinto's Spock – but that's likely to glucinium the pillow slip with Abrams aboard.

Fargo and Legion creator Noah Hawley, who is also working on an Alien TV series, is developing a separate Star Trek movie.

He told Kind: "We'Ra non doing Kirk and we're not doing Picard. It's a start from scratch that then allows USA to do what we did with Fargo, where for the first three hours you go, 'Oh, it really has nix to do with the movie,' and then you discover the money."

There was too the heatedly anticipated link between Star Trek and Quentin Tarantino. A script has been written, though any further news has until no to happen. Star Chris Yearn, though, told ComicBook.com "that to have a Quentin take on it would be tremendously interesting and amusive."

On the TV side of things, Star Trek Discovery temper 4, spinoff Strange New Worlds, and Picard temper 2 are all currently in various stages of development and output.
